Prestigious Internships

"Bioengineering gave me an in-depth knowledge of the medical field, and it helped to strengthen my problem solving and project management skills. Having this knowledge has been incredibly valuable in my work for Epic, an electronic health record vendor which serves patients around the world."

— Alex Nixon, BS Bioengineering ’16, technical services for Epic, Verona, Wisconsin
Katina Colucci, Mason alumna
Katrina Colucci, BS Bioengineering ’17, says she had multiple internships during her college years, thanks to Mason's proximity to federal government agencies in Washington D.C. She interned with the Department of Energy, the Army, and NASA. When she graduated, she had three job offers with the federal government, and she was accepted into three graduate schools.

Don't miss the chance to intern during your college years. Mason bioengineering students have many opportunities for exciting internships and summer jobs, which can lead to full-time careers.

Our students land internships with government agencies, contractors, engineering, and biotech companies as well as medical research facilities. To take advantage of these opportunities, apply early. Turn in your application in the fall for the following summer. Some of the many opportunities:
